I got into Solidworks and started to express my solution variants of the Rand Cam Engine
The goal was to design a version that could easily made in mini CNC mills. The engine would be small enough to fit the mills but large enough to prove viability.
The rotor with two vanes has the Intake and Compression cycle. The rotor with 4 vanes is the Power and Exhaust cycle.
The Intake rotor is to spin between 1000 rpm to 10,000 rpm.
The power rotor is to spin between 100 rpm to 1,000 rpm.
The cam features a maximum cam pressure angle of 15 degrees. This will allow for high rpm for the intake and compression.
The same will be used for the power rotor because of the increased safety factor.
